"No one taught me the dangers of trying to find happiness on tree tops." The black & white that accompanies the thought intrigued me. Another such combination of words and image – "love is a knife through the jugular vein, son." I like Paulo's dark backgrounds, artsy photographs, and deep thoughts. Though some of the site is in English, some words and many visitor's comments are in Portuguese – I found it well worth using a translator. Then again, you could always just enjoy the pretty pictures...;~))

Today's pick "welcomes discerning readers" interested in "the arts and industry of comics." If that's your thing, you'll enjoy its wealth of articles "written to a high standard." Though not a big comics aficionado myself, I found several essays and interviews quite interesting. There's also an abbreviated mobile version featuring newer content. Describing itself as more a journal than a newsmagazine, the site is updated weekly with new articles from its long list of contributors – nicely done...

A little something for your brain today – "technical articles, tutorials and examples of programming for the web." Mike Hall calls it a learning resource rather than a cut and paste type of thing and in my opinion, he's done a pretty good job at it. Besides useful tutorials and samples in 6 different categories, there's some excellent external resources listed in each area. And the javascript blackjack game (using CSS playing cards) is a hoot...;~)) [RES72]
