artypapers 6/29/05 Description:
an experiment gone useful
Comments:
R. Marie Cox says part of the site's purpose "is to develop a solid, yet extendable, collection of classes that can be used over and over again for various web applications." It's a personal experiment, a "springboard for ideas" in which she can test the application framework she's developing. "It's tedious, it's horrible, and it's totally worth it in the long run." A number of interesting projects "relying on a common code set" are featured. If you're a designer, you're bound to find the CSS Help Pile and ap.log useful – create an account and you'll be able to save your favorite links using Scribble. Another fun projects lets you "create an online list of all your LEGO® sets." The site's somewhat a work in progress, now in its 7th version, but it certainly appears to have "gone useful." And I enjoyed meeting Yuki in the photo.lab...;~))

motelmotel 6/8/05 Description:
a pic every day
Comments:
"Jeden tag ein foto." Since January, Jan has been taking a picture everyday. As each new month begins, the set of daily photos from the previous month is posted in its entirety – sort of a monthly diary (a colorful and interesting visual narrative). Most of the images are just 150x200 in size, presented in a scrollable horizontal layout – sure works for me...;~))
Pasquale Vitale 6/4/05 Description:
personal photography
Comments:
There's 3 directions one could follow from the splash, one of them being Pasquale's acquariofilia project. The photos are beautiful. Pasquale has two aquariums plus "a beautiful bathtub, 80x35x50". full of plant life and tropical fish – sure makes for vibrant color. There's more, including outdoor panoramas, assorted macro shots, and a standalone gallery with its own categories – it's all good...;~))
Whateverland 6/2/05 Description:
a collection of photographs taken by Archie FlorCruz
Comments:
Having lived in Chicago for many years (a great city, thank you), today's pick is a treat for me. Of course, I hope it is for you too. Years ago, I worked on almost the top floor of the tall white building in the top left corner of this picture – is that an amazing photo or what? Archie's fisheyes and macros are cool too – enjoy a visit to Whateverland...;~)) [Raster]
